Life Passions

While reading Dear John by Nicholas Sparks last night, one of the characters talked about passion and it made me think a bit. Here's the quote:

"Passion and satisfaction go hand in hand, and without them, any happiness is only temproary, because there's nothing to make it last."

I couldn't agree more.

Then I thought about my passions in life and here's a few that I came up with:
  • working with students - helping them succeed and feel confident to take risks in their learning; helping them smile and laugh.
  • living healthy
  • training to accomplish some sort of goal

What's your passion(s)?

Getting engrossed in a good book. Sadly, every book must end.

You know I've been struggling with this very question for awhile... I mean I know I love running, but I feel like I can't pinpoint what else I'm just really really passionate about.

As a former elementary school teacher and counselor I hear you with your passion:-)

I love how those passions were just simple and matter of fact.

My passion is motivating and inspiring my students.
Living my life with happiness and joy.
Pushing myself to limits and showing myself I can accomplish anything. And my fiancee of course.

I am passionate about running and my craft stuff like scrap booking. I also love reading. There is just not enough time in the day for everything!

Wow that quote is sooo true. It probably explains why so many people are unhappy in their jobs. It's nothing something they're passionate about.

I reallllly want to see that movie!

i find this interesting. my passion is my family, my kids...yet the number 1 question i get from my parents and extended family is what are you going to do when the kids go to school ? as if I will have nothing to do. i realize that kids go to school but does that mean i don't have to do any MOM things anymore ??? i hate it, it makes me feel like being a stay at home mom is not good enough...

passion, exercise, learning new things in life, travel, friends

Great post based on a great quote. My passions are similar to the others, except I'm increasingly passionate about my environment. Are you going to see the movie based on the book?
