10 Things That Make Me Happy...About Snow Days

School was cancelled today due to the weather. I was surprised to see it called off so early, but supposed the rain that came friday night combined with the slushy-snow that came Saturday, froze laste night and is now being covered with snow, making driving "treacherous".

So, with that in mind, I am going to list 10 things that make me happy about snow days:

1. I didn't have to use a "sick day" - for those of you who didn't catch my post yesterday, I have Strep Throat.

2. Catching up on tv I usually don't get to watch, especially the Today Show, and maybe Oprah.

3. Reading - I have at least 12 books on my shelf that I haven't read yet.

4. Movie watching

5. Cuddled up on the couch in my pj's all day.

6. Access to good homemade coffee.

7. Baking goodies

8. Watching the snow fall

9. Catching up on FB and the Blogworld

10. And last, but not least important, naps naps naps.

Okay, I'm jealous! I can't remember the last time we had a legit snow day around here.

I LOVE daytime TV!

Enjoy your day, and I hope your throat feels better.

and you don't have to be sick to stay cuddled up in the couch in pj's watching movies all day either. that's just plain fun.

Oh I love naps. Hope you're feeling better soon. I recorded "Pregancy pact" and watched that (trashy lifetime movie) while cutting fabric for a quilt this morning. Perfect way to spend a Monday! Hope yours is good!

I'm so sorry about the strep! I hope the medicine has already started to kick in.

I love snow days. Since they're "free," they're especially exciting.

I am so sorry to hear you aren't feeling well! Strep throat sucks!! Oh well, at least you had a snow day instead of a sick day.

In Calgary, there is no such thing as a snow day. Otherwise the whole city would shut down for 6 months out of the year!

Feel better soon!

Oh, how I loved snow days when I was working in a school. I was in Vermont, so we got a few over the course of the winter.

I'm glad you had another day to recover!
