All the productivity

Yesterday's sick day was quite productive. I found out I still have 20/20 vision and no cavities, however I need to floss more frequently and get in for a cleaning twice a year. After talking with my doctor about my headaches, heart palpitations, difficulty sleeping, feeling tired even after 8 hours of sleep, as well as my workout schedule and daily nutrition, she called for blood work to check my thyroid. I should be getting the test results back within the next couple days.

I also spent the rest of the day running from furniture store to furniture store trying to decide on a dining room table. Who know it could be so difficult? I ended up making a purchase and it should arrive next Wednesday! I am excited! I also got some Christmas shopping done, tree up and decorated, as well as the rest of my Christmas decor out and about.

And... I got 9 1/2 hours of sleep last night. I sure felt good and rested this morning. I was able to get a lot done at work today and felt pretty darn productive. I am thinking this is totally due to a day off and a good night's sleep. I highly recommend taking a day off once in a blue moon to rejuvenate yourself!

After work I was able to sneak in a quick workout. The gym was packed and I blame it on the cold weather. It is definitely starting to feel like winter with today's negative 1 degree wind chill. I hopped on a bike for a bit while waiting for a treadmill to open up. Once I got on the treadmill I did some nasty sprint intervals. The 45 minute workout felt good.

I hope everyone has a superb weekend. I hope to get in the pool in the morning for an easy swim the day before the Jingle Bell 5K... only to look foward to celebrating me birthday with a few friends Saturday night!

Good luck to all those racing this weekend... Jess....Aron....Frayed Laces....David...and everyone else I might have missed!

Today's Workout:
Bike - 5.67 miles, 16:00, 21.26mph
Run - 3 miles, 30:03, 10:01/mile (Sprint Intervals)

Today's Song: Beyonce - Single Ladies

Thanks for the shout out!

The dental hygenist always tells me to floss more. I do it for about 2 weeks after my b-annual visit and then it goes by the wayside. I will probably die of gingivitis.

Oh, I know how difficult dining sets can be. We spent six months trying to find just the right one for our place. Hope your energy levels can be cured with just a B-vitamin boost.

I am NOT a Beyonce fan, didn't she change her name to something else?

Teachy, you got all that done in one day? I would've just curled up and gone to sleep!

We all need a mental health day from time to time. It's even better when it can be a physical health day, too.

a quickie about thyroid stuff:

you need to find an Upper Cervical Chiropractor where you are. My chiro here had a patient who had half of his thyroid gland surgically removed a few years before starting treatment. After 3 months of chiropractic treatments the thyroid grew back! and it was behaving normally this time. The surgeon said he had never seen that before.

Go Chiro! Hope the blood tests come back ok.

I am suprised you are tired. [In my best taunting sing-songy voice] "Teachy is a wimp!!"

Geez. It's not like you are super busy or working unbelievably hard or like you just completed a big move/decorating thang, or anything like that.

Good job on getting some rest, and good luck with the blood work. I hope you feel better Big T.

I had to look to see where you live after I read the -1 degree windchill. ND makes sense. Haha, I do NOT envy you.

I hope your thyroid tests come back ok.

You were very productive! I love days like that.

I have thyroid problems that were diagnosed about 12 years ago. I can't believe the difference the medicine makes. Let us know what they find out!
