I started December off with a bang. There's nothing like a 2000M swim at 5am on a Monday. It was just one of those days that my skilz in the pool clicked and with each 100M it got easier and I got faster. Overall, I did 2000M consecutively in less than 46:00 (with a couple chat breaks). booyah!
I am still trying to think of a good challenge for December; something to keep me motivated. Streaking? increase in miles/meters? What should a girl do?
I am also thinking of participating in the B-fit-B-day challenge. I will be turning, gulp, 28, gulp. So, this means I will need to do an 8 mile run, 28 mile bike, and 2000M in the pool. I am trying to decide which level I want to try and am most likely looking at the Silver level. The Gold level is a possibility but not likely going to happen.
Any thoughts to all this crazy-talk?

Great swim! I need to hit the pool again soon! Go for the challenge! I think you'd do awesome :)
Go for the challenge. It would be something really great to say you have done for your birthday.
Nice swim today.
Maybe the b-fit challenge is you Dec challenge. Be bold!
WOW! Fantastic swim girl!
I agree go for the challenge! Highest level you think you can do!
Nice job in the pool, great swimming. 28 isn't old!
I definitely think you're up to the challenge, even in December weather.
The B Day challenge sounds fun. Go for it!! Super speedy swim there!
Challenges are definitely fun and the I think the birthday challenge is definitely a good way to go.
Fantastic swim! i can't wait to get back in the pool. I think january will start back with triathlon training.
and 28 should not scare you. i was worried about hitting 30, until i had a baby 2 weeks before my 30th birthday.
The b-fitb-day challenge sounds awesome! i'm going to have to try that (my birthday is july 7th, i'll be 34). and i think you should brick that challenge and go gold. Take a saturday, swim, then hop on the bike, then run it out. that's triathlon style. and the distance is roughly as long as an olympic distance tri, just a little longer. what a fantastic brick!
Hmm... a challenge huh? What if you did something everyday during December- whether it's a run, swim, bike, or a combination? It's not that creative of an idea because I know it's been done before.
What if you did the "Gold" challenge but over two days or something? It'd still be a great workout and good conditioning if you ever wanted to try the "gold level."
Or, what if once per week you did a mini-tri where you do all three in a day. That could be tough and you could start light and get stronger.
Okay, three ideas out of me is pretty miraculous, especially since it's 7:20 AM.
I can't wait to see what you choose for December!!!
Go FOR GOLD! Woman!!! Your are more than half way to Iron distance in the swim. Kick some bootay!!!
Nice job with the swim!
If you are gulping about turning 28, where the #$@& does that leave me? ;-)
As for a challenge, you could pick a weekend and run 28 miles (break it into 14 and 14 over two days if you need to)
I say go for the challenge. I loved doing it around my birthday time! It was fun!
Great swim! TRY THE CHALLENGE!
Ooooohhh girl " gulp 28"?!?! 30 is around the corner for me :-X
Jeez your swim was great! Good job.
Oh, do the challenge. I'm in my [cough] late 30s and I'm game to do it too.
Thanks a lot, Teachy. Dang, I feel like an old fart now.
Good for you. You are such a speedy swimmer! Go for the challenge. I am sure you are up for it.
Good job!!
The b-fit thing sounds pretty cool. Would I be able to do it alone, not so much.. maybe if I could show up somewhere!!! It sounds cool though!!
I think the birthday challenge sounds like fun!! That's my vote!
Nice swim!
I'm with everyone else. Do the challenge!
That's a great challenge idea! I'm going to keep that in mind for next year when I turn 31! My birthday will be on a Sunday, so for sure I can do it all in one day...
