Sunday, Sunday, Sunday....

My new kicks were definitely a good purchase. My workout yesterday was hard, leaving me with a feeling of complete exhaustion. I would rather end a workout feeling exhausted, than hurt. So I was happy with it.

This morning I went to the gym with a girlfriend. A girlfriend of mine who doesn't really run regularly wanted to try the Galloway way. She wanted me to do a little coaching, and it was one of those do as I say, not as I do type coaching (It took me forever to realize how benificial this is, and just started it myself). Well, she attempted the run 2/walk 1 method and ended up doing a little over 3 miles; the most she has ever run. I was so excited for her! My date with the thrillmill was a planned 5K time trial. I haven't ran that distance in a long time. I shouldn't have included my 5 minute warm-up walk as it lengthened my total time, but I was pleased with the overall results considering this.

As much as I don't want to, I will be heading to the school this afternoon for a couple hours. 3 hours max. I have three things I need to do for the week, and then I am spending the rest of the day watching football. I have my first meeting tomorrow, and want to be as prepared as possible. Monday and Wednesday will be longer days, as I don't want to put in any hours next weekend. We'll see how it turns out.

Today's Workout:
3.5 miles run

I am kind of excited as the weather is supposed to be in the 70's all week. Yes! last week it was in the 50's ... very chilly in the am and pm. Enjoy your Sunday, y'all!

That's really cool you are helping your friend out, and the run/walk method rocks :-) My unbiased opinion of course! Not sure starting out a 3 miles and R2/W1 was a good thing or not. Sounds like she was fit enough to handle it though! Don't work too hard! Football is calling :-)

I hear you about heading to school. I spent 3 hours there yesterday and many more here at home. I have already had a meeting to revise minutes and talk about a students behavior plan. Life in SpEd is exciting to say the least. Glad to hear you are still finding time to exercise.

Sounds like a fairly busy weekend. Hope you get out of there in less than 3 hrs so you can enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

I was only at the school for a couple hours. Phew.

couldn't figure out how to turn on the copy machine. That damn thing is bigger than my couch, and definitely has a mind of its own.

I will be chillin' later in the movie theater watchin' SUPERBAD! Ha!

Hey, just wanted you to know that today they showed a field of sunflowers on the closing of CBS Sunday Morning. It made me think of you! We have a few down here, but nothing like the huge field they showed. How happy they look!

Nice job! It's good to coach a newbie runner and get some good mileage in.
