Feeling on top of things at work will make a huge difference in regards to sleeping better, eating better, and training better. All three having an effect on the others.
With all that in mind, I am contemplating something along the lines of Octapolluza. You heard me. I know KelsaLynn has been rockin' her Septapolluza, and I thought it would be something worth while. Something to give me that extra push. Just one month.
The requirements I have put on myself??
- 1 workout per day. That being a minimum of 2 mile run, a 10 mile bike, or 30 minute swim.
- 1 optional rest day each week.
- 1 strength training day each week.
- no SODA. I like the carbonation, but it makes me feel like CRAP. I want it gone. PERIOD.

OMG! I totally LOVE your twist on Octopolluza and it's more of what I was thinking I needed- mix in a day of rest, mix in more strengthening, and more yoga (for me)... I am totally going to steal your idea! Love it!
And I'm glad you're feeling a balance in your life right now, that's really important. Keep it going!
Finally, I'm totally watching Biggest Loser right now too! (tivo'd)
KelsaLynn
I think it looks good!! You can kick the soda thing no prob ;-)
You'll feel so much better without soda in your life! I've gone two years without and am really glad I made that decision.
I like that idea. I might seriously consider joining you on your Octopolluza.
I quit drinking soda about 5 or six years ago. I've never looked back. Now, if I could just cut down on this coffee. Nah... That's going too far ;-)
You had me interested until that "no soda" business. Sorry, I can't participate if you want to yank the Diet Pepsi from my life.
I very rarely drink soda. I just don't have to have it. However, everyonce in a while I crave an ice cold coke. MMMMMMMMMMMM. But that is only once or twice a month.
I was with you until the NO SODA. I've tried....I just can't get away from it. I like the Biggest Loser too. They have some real cry babies on there this year!! LOL
Man o man... I wish I could join you on the soda part. I tried it a while back, and I just can't give it up. Especially with my long hours at school!
The other parts sound great too! Keep us posted.
Oohhhh I should give up coffee. Oh no, not yet. Maybe after the holidays. :>) You are going rock this October!
I love it! :) Sounds like a great goal.
I'm so glad to hear that you're feeling better about work. It's nice not to be so stressed all the time.
Good luck kicking that soda. :)
Hmm...sounds like a nice mix up. I have a few days. I might just join you on that...your goals sound good. I have the soda problem too. Love it, but it's so bad (and trying to get the HFCS as out of my diet as I can (along with the transfats), I usually am good about it just once a week, although when with my boyfriend, I tend to get bad cause he drinks it so much...My ultimate goal is to only allow it as a "treat" when at the movies!
Watching the biggest loser may put you in a category close to it!!!! Your mom and sister were also watching it. ouch
I'm totally down with it! Except for the dietary part, I'm going to cut out sweets for all of October. (Yea sweet tooth that's right I'm gonna do it!) because I don't drink soda anyway. Whoo Good Luck to us both!!!
Okay, I say props to you. YOU CAN DO IT! I won't join you full-out, but I will pledge 3 days of cardio at least 40 min and 2 days of strength training a week. I've also been slacking on my nutrition. Ugh. It's crazy, I feel so much better when I behave, why do I stray?
P.S. Just finished watching Biggest Loser too. Can't believe who they kicked off!
Yes, I think I will join you! This is a fabulous idea. It's going to be hard to make myself do this with my October schedule, but that's the point, right? And I'm with you on the soda - I gave it up 7 days ago and so far, so good. I already feel the difference, and all I was drinking was Diet.
Okay, I'm with you except the soda, but I will limit it to 1x/day. I don't do coffee so soda is my "wake up thing"
