Update on 3 Changes Challenge, Week 2

Here are my 3 changes and the updates:

1. Less Soda/More water - I have managed to cut back quite a bit with the soda. And, all of the soda has been removed from the house (should have never bought any to begin with). So, with that I am assuming the next week is going to be even better than last week!

2. 4-5 Core and Stretching sessions - done and done!
  • 130 push-ups
  • 130 side crunches w/8# ball
  • 80 regular crunches
  • 85 reverse crunches
  • 1:05 - 1:45 plank x's 4
  • 1:00 - 1:20 side plank x's 4
  • 0:30 - 0:45 rocking plank x's 4

3. No Treats at work - This is becoming a lot more easier than I thought. This past week, I was able to turn down brownies at lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday, a piece of chocolate cake with chocolate frosting for a co-workers 5oth birthday on Thursday, a cupcake from a student's birthday on Thursday, and a huge caramel roll on Friday. I wonder how many empty calories I saved!?

Way to go with the sweets! That was/is harder for me than sodas. Sometimes you've got to have some though. You can't always go without. For sodas, I switched to tea. I drink a lot of hot teas without any sweetener, but iced teas I like them sweet. I'm slowly trying to lessen that as well.

Once you get going it is really easier to not eat those sweets! keep up the good work!

Great job on the sweets! We have a ton here too - I've been trying to turn them all down as well.

I admire your willpower. Can you send me some? I think I need it... :-)

Great job! The turning down stuff at the office would be the hardest part for me.

Isn't it crazy all the sweets we encounter working at schools!? Way to go on sticking to it :) Have a great day!

once you get all that carbonation out of your system, you are going to feel so much better. I can tell how my body reacts after I drink beer. It's pure evil I tell ya! ;-)

nice job w/the no treats at work. School teacher lounges are the WORST for that!

Great job, especially with #3! Yup, schools are the worst places to eat healthy. Too many birthdays to celebrate. Congrats on your willpower. Sometimes I think that running is a lot easier challenge than eating healthy.

I teach too and decided awhile ago I could not eat everything that was offered!
