- Amanda over at RunToTheFinish is trying to get a feel for who would be interested in attending a Runner's Workshop. Stop by and read her post regarding this, and give her some feedback if you are interested! I think it's a great idea!

- The 40 days of Lent didn't go as I would have liked. I gave up sweets (including chocolate, baked goods, and soda) for the first 15 days and then kind of fell off the wagon, so to speak. I also gave up the scale but am afraid to get back on. Maybe I need to get back on track over the next week or so to see where I am at. eeks!
- I think swimming is killing my skin. The winter is extremely hard on my skin and I think the chlorine is making it worse. I have noticed a handful pink itchy patches on my arms. Then about a month ago I noticed that my ears were burning and itchy - pink in color and cracking. And then yesterday, I noticed I have the same kind of pink patches on my face - one on the corner of my left eye, and one on the lid of my right eye. It is very annoying. On average I am in the pool for 2-2.5 hours per week. This is a lot of time to soak in the chlorine. I am thinking I am going to have to take a break from swim team after the last week of practice for this session - next week.
- I need to schedule a massage, bad. I last had one in October and swore to myself I would try to get one in every couple of months. My body is begging for one! I am having a hard time finding a time to get it in.
- I need to make a decision for the Fargo Marathon this week! I should have done this last week before the registration prices went up April 1st. I think I know what I am going to do. I think.
- I "upped" my weights in BodyPump class last night. Even though it wasn't much, I was able to add some weight to the bar when doing the routines for triceps, biceps, and "clean and press". I could really feel the burn by the end of these drills, but it was well worth it. On the flip side - I still haven't added any weight for squats or lunges. I think my body weight plus what I am currently using is plenty for now. Usually my legs and butt are the things that are really sore the couple days to follow BP class.
- 8 weeks left of school ... including this short week! 39 days, including today... if I were counting. Time is going to just fly by, and summer will be here before I know it!

Ohhh I'm excited to hear your decision for Fargo!! And have you tried using corn huskers lotion on the pink patches. That stuff is supposed to reallllly help with dryness.
ugh dry winter/swimming skin. i hope that gets better soon, i LOVE aveeno, it did the trick for mine. and i hope you get that massage! yay.
They have some stuff you can rub on your skin after swimming to help with that!
I have the same problems with swimming. WOnt be long till we stink like lake either
Way to increase the weights!!
The more I think of it, the more I should have studied education and became a teacher.
In regards to your pink itchy patches, the only thing I can think of is excema(sp?). If it persists I'd ask a dr. or something.
And I love massages and think they're fabulous so I hope you get one soon. :-)
r you gonna ahve any summer school? I'm dealing with sorting my summer class schedule right now.

All my teacher friends are counting down the days till summer too!! I need a massage too!
That chlorine can be brutal, especially combined with all that dry heat in winter. I make sure I use a non-fragrant moisturizer for ultra dry skin after I take a soak.
The count down to summer vacation is ON.
Can't wait to find out what you've decided about Fargo!
Interesting about the chlorine..I already have super dry skin all winter. Good luck with your upcoming Fargo decision!
the chlorine is awful. I wish I lived near a fresh water pool.
Schedule that massage now!
I had never thought about what regular pool swimming might do to skin. I hope it clears up soon. I understand skin issues too well :(
39 days - Ain't that a Hitchcock movie? Never mind.
Good job on uping the weights!
I always felt like the chlorine was eating at my skin the winter I swam every day (last winter?). I tried to make sure I put lotion on right after I swam/showered. I also think it helps to shower immediately after you get out of the pool. Good luck!
I really enjoyed my massage, once I got over the weirdness.
Go schedule one. It will do your body good!!
Wow- when do you guys get out? We still have over 2 months but I kinda like my group this year so I'm not wishing it away too quick, I know it could be so much worse!
I know what you mean about the pool I think it's really tough on my hair and skin. Yikes!
The chlorine is super tough; I am so lucky to have a salt water pool. I love it!
ooh, just got excited for you and the beginning of the end of school and into summer.
woo-hoo!
and I love your shout outs. that's great. thanks;-)
I just mentioned to my husband today that I thought the chlorine was eating my skin! It's so dry! :(
Get that massage... and update us on what you decide about the Fargo Marathon! :)
Get the massage for sure:) Sorry to hear about the skin issues. I used to get little red patches after two weeks of swimming in the pool when I had to swim in high school. Take care of your skin...find out what product Wes is talking about.
Have a wonderful day!
We have 41 days left!!! The rest of the year will be flying by!
Good luck with your Fargo decision. I ran the half 3 years ago and the full the last 2 years. I will miss going there this year. Hope you get that message soon!
those 39 days will FLY by
So close to summer!! Of course, I'd be excited about summer if it hadn't decided to arrive here in April, sigh.
the chlorine is awful. I wish I lived near a fresh water pool.
