Winter Misery... already

In attempt to make the most of this nasty weather, and I mean NASTY (with -29 windchill) I am looking forward to taking part in RunningLaur's virtual race...

I am plugging away at my miles...23.16 more to go this month.... and this will be another fun reason for me to get out (or on the treadmill), even if it's just one mile!

I will admit, I am not a regular follower of RunningLaur, but I saw a link to this race via another blog and look forward to reading more from her.

Look back next week for a full "race report"!

So excited about the virtual race! I'll be FAR from winter's misery in the Caribbean at the time, but I'll be thinking about those of you freezing your buns off while I run at the beach. :)

A virtual race sounds like a fun idea! That's WAY too cold, is it too soon to start asking for summer?

That weather is AWFUL! Just plain awful.

Of course, here in South FL, the heat index was 93 today, which isn't all that pleasant either.

I use Sparkpeople.com and Myfooddiary

Myfooddiary is where I started logging back in 2007. Sparkpeople is free and I LOVE that site!

Here is my page!

They have a great logging system there!

Whenever I feel depressed about the winter weather in Ohio I know I can read about your weather and feel better :)

The virtual race looks like fun, or at least will get me outdoors running in the snow. But I'm going to have to check the weather forecast. It was 5 degrees here today, I'm a wimp when it comes to cold.

That is one cold temperature you have there. I'm so inspired by your dedication and level of fitness! Great job!

Brrrr! I remember last Christmas, driving across ND, from Minneapolis to Bismarck, and marveling at how the temperature on the dash board (minus the wind chill!) dropped from 0 to -18 by the time we reached Bismarck! (We were driving because we couldn't get the second leg of our flight out of Minn. into the air!) Brrr!

Happy belated birthday! I am a bit behind on my blog reading :)
