Few and Far Between

I ran today. It was one of those runs that made all negative vibes go away, all thoughts of a sore knee disappear, and gave me a sense of feeling that a marathon is possible. Only if each and every run was like this! I will take what I can get.

I have also been doing some thinking about my first tri. I am definitely still considering the Tri-U-Mah in February. Even if it is indoor. Even if it is based on 30 minutes in each discipline. I was looking at the results from last year's race and thinking about what kind of goals I want to be setting for myself. After Octapolluza, I will have a little over 3 months to prepare myself which will be well needed, especially with a couple fall/winter breaks in there. I think I know what I am capable of on the bike and treadmill, but it might take me a couple months to really determine my goal for in the pool. I will post my goals at a later time.

Tonight I will be heading for dinner with a few friends, kind of a celebration for our raise that our school district finally finalized... and a celebration for a nice long weekend to come!

Today's workout:
3.5 mile run

Ahhhhhhhh I love runs like that. They are few and far between (for me) but it's what keeps me truckin ;-)

Those are definitely the runs that make running worthwhile.

i definitely think you should consider that indoor tri. it won't be anything but beneficial - regardless of the format.

yahoo! more money = more going out!

Good run!! Raise!! Wow that is sensational....way to go, don't spend it all in one place...unless it is for new running stuff.

Where is that triathalon at??? It sounds like a great idea, and something you can definitely do! Congrats on the PR!!!! That is awesome! Maybe you do better when you don't run with others? Enjoy your day off, because tomorrow will not be a day off at all!!! Get ready to pack, unpack, clean, paint and whatever else I can find for ya! I can't wait to see you!!!!! PS I like the new color on your blog. Also, you may want to bring with a pillow and possibly a blanket. We are not exactly prepared for 6 people to stay with us! THANKS! LOVE YA!
