Monday, Monday

Today was a good day at work. The kids were good and they worked hard. I was very happy with them all. It was after work that totally drained me. In short, we had a huge meeting to discuss issues with our educator's association rep to take care of some serious business. It will be interesting to see how things pan out.

I left that meeting after 5 and couldn't wait to get to the gym. I was ready to change gears and relax for the evening. My run went really well. It was cut short because we are only alotted 30 minutes on the machines (especially when it is super busy), and the chick on there before me went over her time she "signed up" for. Damn her.

After my run yesterday, I worked my legs over with the weights. I was definitely feeling it in my groin area today. When working my hip abductors yesterday, I noticed that my outer muscles were a whole lot stronger then the inner muscles (as I could lift twice as much)... hence the reason why my groin area hurts today.

Tomorrow is a spin day.

2.15 mile run

I am scared of heights, but when will I get a chance to do that again?

Imagine the picture opportunities!! Did you know it's already 1 mile high there, then it's another mile to the top of the mountains.

Glad you're enjoying your kids. It's the dang politics that causes all the stress, huh? :(

Good job.

Today I went to the gym and ran on the treadmill. I lasted 2 miles before I got bored out of my mind and hopped off. I would have gone outside to finish my run, but it was 35-ish degrees and all I had with me was shorts and a t-shirt. I was thinking of you and others who actually enjoy the treadmill. Help me understand how to make the treadmill "fun"

30 minute rule sucks...if someone before you went over though...just a thought, you get 30 minutes right??

As for the abductors, something to worry about is the lack of strength on the opposite ones, you should stick with the weights that work for the weakest muscle is always what I've heard, so as not to get muscles on an equal platform if that makes sense? If you can lift 20 pounds with the left arm and only 15 with the right, then you go 15, if inners can only handle 10 and outers can do 20, you should stick with the 10 and keep everything equal (or gain equal) just so you don't chance injury from unequal muscles.
