As we completed our first week of school, we were given permission to leave and enjoy our long weekend as soon as the kids were out of our room. I took full advantage of that and hightailed it out of there shortly after 3. I was heading home to the Bis to meet up with the BF and do a long weekend of camping with a couple friends and their little one.
It was an interesting weekend to say the least. We had the BF's parents camper which made camping in the cooler temps (50's and 60's) a bit easier. Saturday we had some trouble with the boat and our friend had an accident early that afternoon that ended up not being as bad as we first feared. Phew. Sunday afternoon the BF and I drove almost an hour to my Grandpa's house for a BBQ. He was having family and friends over to thank them for everything that everyone has done for him in the past 6 months, since my Grandma passed away. It was so nice to be able to go and chat with everyone, even if we were only there for a couple hours. Then we headed back to the campsite for what turned out to be a nicer night then we thought it was going to be. However, rain rolled in around 5am Monday morning and made packing up and loading up a bit interesting.
I rolled back into Fargo around 8 pm last night, threw in some laundry, worked on a grocery list, and my to-do list for the week. Why is it that it's never-ending?! I have quite a bit of things I would like to get done this week before the weekend comes around again. My sister and brother-in-law are coming to town and I hope to get the spare bedroom cleaned up a bit and usable for them. In addition, the 2nd week of school is starting and I am not sure I am ready. Sigh.
I don't know how much blogging I will be doing this week either. I have to figure out how to get most of my grad school work done during the week, since I figure most of my weekends are going to be busy with traveling and house guests.
I hope to catch up with you all very soon!
