Three Things Thursday

1. Where does the time go? The past couple of weeks have been a whirlwind. I don't know where the time has gone, but it's been crazy busy. Why is it that when you have more time on your hands, you seem to have more things to do and struggle to get them done? I think I only have 5 weeks until my next triathlon and less than 3 weeks until we go to San Diego!

2. Do you believe bad things come in threes? Do you believe that good things can come in threes? Last week I noticed wet carpets in one of the spare bedrooms in the basement. After fixing the discharge hose on the sump pump on the outside of the house, calling carpet cleaners (hard to get anyone's help unless it's an emergency), watching them rip my carpet back, rip out carpet padding, put holes in the sheet rock to see if it's moldy and insulation is wet, pay a hefty bill to have them do that and set up 5 turbo fans to dry it out... I am not liking this homeowner business. In addition to those fun things, I bought a car the same week. Crazy.

3. With the flexibility of having the rest of my summer off, I am taking advantage of it in full force. I will be in the Biz for a while, probably a week or so... watch the BF's softball game tonight, cousin's wedding saturday evening, possibly squeeze in another wedding with the BF before then, if time - help the 'rents epoxy the new garage, and if the weather is nice Monday I might try and take my god-daughter to the water park.

I am so with you on the time flying. It's July - frickin' July. Where did May and June go? The last thing I remember was March.

I'm with ya - time is flying by!

And please don't let all bad things come in three's... I've already had 2 this week and the last thing I need is another one. I'm beggin for mercy on this one!

Summers seems to be CRAZY busy! Glad you're enjoying the time off work. Have a great weekend!

I don't really believe in the threes thing, but home ownership means you need to prepare for the unexpected. Seems like something is always breaking at an inconvenient time.

The time really is flying by. And you're right, it always seems like I have way more to do when I have some time off.

Sometimes i want to be a teacher just so I can have the summers off!!

Hope you have three good things coming to you after your three bad things. Have a good weekend!

I am always so jealous of teacher's summers off! Sorry about the home stuff. I am not sure I believe in the bad stuff happens in 3's but I do know, when it rains it pours. I hope you are out of the storm!

That doesn't sound like a summer off at all. :)

We are half way through 2010, isn't that just nuts?

I hear you on home ownership, I'm just waiting for the bill to arrive for my new well....I think that is why I'm feeling a little low....all these necessities are cutting into my fun stuff LOL...

I always feel like I have more to do when I have more time too! I think it's because when I don't have time, it really forces me to prioritize and I end up cutting out or pushing back a lot of the things I have to do.. then when I have more time I feel like I can do it all haha and it ends up backfiring.
Hope you're enjoying the summer off!

Oh man you are super busy! I don't know where the time is going either. I have no idea how summer is half way over and I haven't accomplished even close to all the things I wanted to get done this summer!

I am a teacher too, and I can totally relate about summer's off being busy!!! I feel like, even though I have less to do, I have a harder time getting it done bc my days are less structured! As far as things coming in threes goes, I totally believe in it.

ahh owning a home...try owning it and renting it, then it really stinks cause you don't even live ther eand have to pay for stuff :)

enjoy your summer while the rest of us spend it in jealousy

Sorry to hear about #2 -- but mold is nothing to mess around with, so it's wise to spend the money and have it properly taken care of!

This summer has been flying by and it always goes twice as fast after the 4th! :P

Sorry to hear about your house troubles.

I always whine about summer and wanting it to be here...and then I blink and it's almost over! SIGH! Time flies! I'm sorry about your house...sometimes it's a major pain to be a homeowner...but it's worth it to have somewhere to call "home."

I always remember thinking how quickly the summers went when I was back in school...I never thought the teachers thought so too!

Enjoy the rest of it; you'll be back at the grindstone all too soon.

Time is FLYING!!! Can you believe it almost the middle of July. I hope you have good weather and can hit the water park!

I was just blogging about the same thing recently- when I have more time I can't seem to get as much done.

I also believe bad things happen in 3s...I've never noticed good things happening in 3s but that would be nice :)

Good luck with the home owning, it definitely has it's annoying times- about a month ago I was having the everything breaking situation in my house, grr!

I always think summer is going to pass slowly and then once you hit July 4th it just takes off then boom it's over. Every year!
