One day down and I was able to get the following things accomplished, in this order:
- 3.62 mile run in the AM- it was sweaty, stinky, and I had a tomato face... but felt good when it was done! Followed it up with 20 minutes of strengthening, stretching, and core work!
- Listened to 2 audio powerpoints to prepare class chat on Wednesday (totalling 100 minutes - FO REAL!) - this was not listed on the to-do list.... kind of forgot about it.
- Cleaned out oven mess by hand - this too was not on the list, but I got most of it done while listening to the 2nd audio powerpoint. It's all about multitasking, peeps. (Side note: in attempt at making two pans of monkey bread at 5am Saturday morning to take with for the wedding party to nibble on that morning, the caramel sauce poured over and almost started my house on fire. Needless to say, the monkey bread did not get finished and smoke filled the house. Scary. Currently looking for a more accurate monkey bread recipe.)
- I THINK I figured out my topic for my final grad paper/project/lesson plan... and did some searching for articles/references.
- Measured spare bedroom.
- Did dishes. It's never-ending and it's only my dishes!
- Went to Lowes and looked at flooring options. I decided I probably won't make a decision on this until after my vacay. Too many choices!
- Looked at paint while at Lowes. Figured I would give that room a fresh coat of paint before putting in new flooring. I want something neutral like a light gray but need an accent color for the half wall on two sides. Suggestions?
- Biked 21.61 miles in the PM ... at the gym on the upright bike. I needed to read 4 articles for grad class and I was sick of just sitting and working, so I did it on the bike! ☺
- Enjoyed my evening watching the Twins game and did a little bit of reading for fun.
Today is another day and more time needs to be spent on this grad paper. Blech. Marlene made a comment saying how she works better under pressure and that I probably do too. So TRUE.. so true, indeed!!

Caramelized oven - ouch!
Wow, you have been busy lady! I had to smile when I read about the dishes:) My kitchen is a total mess....I leave for a few days and my house falls apart! It looks like no one else knows how to do dishes:) Nice job on getting that run in...glad that you felt great after!
This is my favorite and super easy monkey bread receipe. (Yes, it is Boot's from Dora the Explorer...but hey that was my life for a while...now it is Hannah Montana and iCarly) :)
But it is fabulous!
Boots' Monkey Bread
4 tubes of Refrigerator biscuits.
1 1/3 cups sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 tsp cinnamon
1 stick of margarine
Step 1
Cut each biscuit into 3 pieces
Step 2
Mix together 2/3 cup of sugar and 1teaspoon of cinnamon in a large bowl and roll each piece in the mixture.
Step 3
Grease a 12 cup bundt pan with a bit of butter. Drop the biscuit pieces into the bundt pan. (I spray with lots of Pam)
Step 4
In a small sauce pan, stir together remaining sugar, butter, cinnamon, and vanilla. Heat on the stove until it reaches a boil. Pour over the biscuit pieces and bake in a 350* oven for 40 minutes. When done turn the monkey bread onto a plate and serve warm.
You had an awesomely productive day yesterday! Hope today can be just as good!
i like the things you did not on your list, that's totally what ends up happening to me. I have a list, then do some of it and a lot of other stuff too
Wow! Nice job! Looks like you had a nice balance in your day too! Keep it up!
See? It's amazing how much you can get done with deadlines! I have been flying by the seat of my pants lately, but checking things off.
Great job!!
I think doing work or reading for school on the bike is one of the best things. I used to do it all the time when life got crazy
You were one busy lady!! You got so much done and multi-tasked! I wish my days were all like that!
