A new month....

.... a new challenge.

With my running being pushed to the wayside, temporarily, I have bigger and better plans for March!

In hopes to strengthen my body, I will ...
  • continue to follow my PT's instructions - completing each and every strengthening exercise 2 times a day and no running, until he says otherwise....
  • swim and bike as much as I possibly can....
  • and... I will go head-on with Jillian and do the 30-day Shred video....for the next 30 days.

I did day 1 today. Combine that with my big swim yesterday and shoveling, I am feeling it in my upper body!

Things are crazy busy with work and such as we are closing in on our 2nd trimester. Yes, we do trimesters here. I am finishing up grades and attempting to write up progress reports and complete graphs to go along with them before conferences next week!

I hope to catch up with all your blogs in the next few days!

Sounds like you have some excellent goals to keep you focused and active during your downtime from running. That's the spirit!

That plan should get you in good tri shape until you can get back to running.

I'm still trying to figure out where January and February went.

I'm glad you're not letting your running hiatus get you down- keep up with the biking and swimming and you'll be back to all three in no time.

Good luck w/ the end of your trimester.

hey! i starred your post about the strength trianing for your knees because i think i need to do more of this too. can you shoot me an email describing your symptoms?? my knee feels like it tracks out of place, and whenever i bend it, there's a clicking noise (but its not painful). my thigh muscles are jacked, but my inside muscles suck... does this sound similar to your situation?

Great job on staying positive and focusing on swimming, biking and strength training. When I was injured and couldn't run, I really enjoyed the change.
