If you haven't caught my last couple of posts, you are probably unaware of the conditions we are dealing with up here in North Dakota. Unless you have caught a bit on national news. Feel free to check out my last couple of posts down below. A lot has been going on around here.
The Red River is up to 29.68 feet right now. 1997 flood was around 39 feet, and we expect to reach 41 feet by Thursday evening.
As of right now, the 8-10 inches of snow predicted in the Cass (ND)/Clay (MN) Counties has been decreased to 1-2 inches today, and maybe an accumulation of 1 inch tomorrow. Very good news.
Many people have been driving along the river, "checking things out". Both Sheriff's from Cass and Clay county threatened those gawkers to stay away, or they will either make you stop and sandbag, or send you to jail.
Tetanus shots are being recommended for those who will possibly come in contact with flood waters. As of right now, I am going to say no to this one.
And, I am still dealing with that stupid noise above my house. I was awake almost every hour last night. Tonight I might just sleep on the couch in the basement.
