I was really sore after my first day of Jillian's 30-day Shred. I was nervous to do day 2 yesterday... wondering how I was going to feel this morning.
The consensus today? Sore shoulders, calves, and bootay.
I will put money down that the calves are sore from the jumping jacks, jumping rope, and butt kicks. I am using 3 pound weights, leaving the shoulders a bit sore just because I am not used to using them, or the pushups. And the bootay? Well, let's just say between my strengthening routine two times per day and then some of jillian's lunges/squats and such (modified to protect my knees) I am super sore! However, today's sore wasn't as bad as yesterday's. Either I am getting stronger, or adjusting to the pain.
But, it's all a good sore.
Tomorrow I have my second PT session before heading off to work. I am looking forward to what he has to say and getting some more advice and exercises to do. I am trying to be very positive with all this PT stuff and hoping that it will make me stronger and able to get back to running form again!

From what I've heard about that workout, I am not surprised your muscles are so sore. You must have done something right!

I could barely move the day after I did Jillian's Shred. It went away after Day 3...maybe because I stopped doing the Shred. But I promise, one of these days I'll start the Shred again and finish all 30 days!

Man Jillian is getting some major love from blogland lately. I may pick her routine up after my half because I don't want her impact stuff screwing with my knees.
you know we all think the bootay soreness is from spanking, or some other man-influence. you can't lie to us like that. hang in there, good sore is a good thing!

P90X kicked my arse the first two weeks. I had never been that sore! Stick with it. It will get better!
You are really workin' it girl! Keep it up and I am sure that you wont be sore long.

Jillian is the devil but she gets results. I have issues with the knees too but I just modify the lunges and squats.
