The storm is here and at full force. I know that the winds are gusting 35-45 miles per hour, as it sounds like my roof is being ripped off my house. The snow is still falling and blowing. I have huge drifts against the south side of my house again. This storm is so bad that they even closed the colleges and universities. I don't think UND has been shut down since 2000!
I slept in, trying to catch up on lost sleep from the time change. I thought about hitting the gym before the storm got really bad, but unfortunately the system came through faster than the weathermen "expected"... and I didn't want to venture out. Instead, I just did Day 10 of Jillian's 30-Day Shred video; the 2nd day at level 2. And, I must say the cardio portion is kicking my ars! Geez!
I am going to finish Eclipse (3rd book in Twilight series) with a warm cup of coffee in hand. Then, I hope to get up some inspiration to do some canvas painting. I have a few projects in mind to get done for Christmas "gifts" next year, but am always looking for more ideas or inspirations! Feel free to send some my way!
Happy Tuesday, y'all!

Stay warm teacherwoman! It's a balmy 41 here right now.
wow painting that's cool!!
I haven't yet read the twilight series but know I should since veryone loves it..i just need it to be at the library.
Sorry it took me a bit to get back to you about training for you half. My best advice would be to start working in some runs a couple times a week for the next few weeks, maybe two short ones during the week and something a little longer (maybe five-ish) on the weekend.
If that goes well then I'd suggest looking at some "beginner" training plans and seeing what kind of distances they recommend. (I only suggest beginner because they tend to allow more cross training and less intense distance jumps...better for rehabing injuries)
I think most importantly is to go by how you feel. If you have to skip a run, that's fine. If you need to do more walking than running that's fine too. The most important thing is to the keep the knee strong.
Hope that was some what help. Sorry for writing a book as a comment lol!
Girl you are way hardcore to be rolling with Jillian like that. I did a couple days and was like "fo-get this!" LOL
A day with Edward sounds perfect! Glad to hear you're making good use of your time being house-bound. Stay warm (and safe!).

You guys are getting hit really hard with this storm!! I'm hoping this is the last one of the season!
when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. when life gives you blizzards - sleep in, do shred, and curl up for a good book. :-)

Hey there! I found your blog through run girl run's blog, and noticed you're a special education teacher too! I work with middle schoolers who have emotional/behavioral disorders. I'm also a new runner, and start my 10k training Monday, actually.
I'm adding you to my reader, and wish you the best in your training. hope you'll stop by my blog too, and say hi. :)
