The Past 31 Days

Well, here we are. One month into the year 2010 and I am ready to give you the run down on stats and other stuff from this past month. This will be a little different from previous months in reviews, so here goes...

Month in Review: January 2010
Swim - 1000 meters
Bike - 86.64 miles
Run - 31.17 miles

Total number of:
Swims - 1
Bikes - 6
Runs - 11
Spin classes - 1
BodyPump classes - 3

Total minutes of:
Yoga - 0
Pilates - 60
Stretching/Strengthening - 4 hours

High of the Month: Starting the new year off running strong and injury free!!

Lows of the Month:
  • Getting Strep Throat and being knocked on my rear for over a week. I was barely able to get off the couch and get to work, let alone to the gym and doing any sort of workout.
  • No yoga! What? I had such good intentions and then never did it!
  • 1 swim? gasp!

Goals for the Month of February:

  • Cut out soda - completely
  • Today marks the beginning of following a Half Marathon Training schedule, in hopes of doing one in May.
  • Get my ars back into the pool!
  • Join Mary in the Legs Do It Challenge! Click here if you're interested in joining us!

How did January look for you? What are you looking forward to this month?

January was successful for me (but not according to your stats - great job!)

I got the Tri-bug, but I am researching the right bike now. This makes me nervous because the first and only spin class I did hurt... hurt like I could barely walk for a week and not my legs).

My goals for February are to official decide on a Sprint Tri, get a bike (and probably padded pants) and get out there.

Also to go strong with P90X as our personal training ends tomorrow.

I'm ready!

Glad to hear you are running injury free!!! January marked a continued increase in mileage for me. February begins my race season, so I'm looking forward to some speed work in the form of racing.

Good work this month! Good luck with your February goals... I should kick soda myself. I did it for a week and then I saved. :/

Ohhhh, I hope you stay well this month! Isn't it crazy how being sick totally sets you back?

Things this month I'm excited for... adding in yoga and getting back to the pool too! (only one lap swim in this town 5:30-6:30am. I need a lession in HTFU to get up at 5!)

I hear ya on the yoga goal! I've tried to make it one of mine for a while and realized with the training time it takes for the swim, bike, run...it was hard to fit it in!
So I've taken baby steps and try and do a few yoga poses here and there post work out, or 10 min b4 bed...y'know warrior, upward dog, tree pose...;-)

Sounds like you had a good month! I'm impressed at how much variety you get in, which I think is really important.

P.S. I'm hosting a giveaway on my blog if you're interested in checking it out!

A winter month. With the weather and being sick, is surprising you got anything done. Heres to February.

January went by so fast, it's hard to believe. I seem to be doing okay keeping this precarious balance of work and training and other fun stuff going, but I could use a little more calm in February. Especially since it's my birthday month! Yep, I give myself a whole month - cause I'm that good. :)

I think you did great in January - especially being sick for a week.

Hmm, I am looking forward to being done with this god awful test and being able to get back out there and workout! I feel like I am turning to mush.

Yeah, Yoga always gets dropped for me too. Maybe explains the ITBS sidelining me. My January has taught me that less is more and that my fitness is higher than I thought it would be. I can still do the long workouts but I suffer later. Lol

Great January numbers! I was sick for a lot of January too, no fun!
This month I'm looking forward to making little, important things (such as flossing) habits and one month closer to spring weather!

I have a hard time getting myself int he pool when it's cold out- so I had no swims in January, sad haha.

Where do you take your Body Pump classes?
