- daily highs between -4 and -20 degrees without wind chill
- daily lows between -15 and -40 degrees without wind chill
- blowing snow, causing white out conditions on open roads
- increased chances of frost bite and hypothermia if skin is exposed too long
....all of the above leading to no morning, lunch, or afternoon recess for kids...a teacher's worst nightmare! All I know is that when the temperatures reach 30 degrees above zero this coming Sunday, it's going to feel like a dang heat wave and I can guarantee that there WILL be people walking around in hooded sweatshirts instead of their winter coats as if it were spring already.
