I have been looking forward to getting back into a routine since shortly after Christmas. And today I had good intentions of starting the week off right.
Get up early and do a 3-4 mile run. That's it.
I slept like crap last night. I woke up multiple times and just tossed and turned. I am sure I was anxious about getting back to work. So I canned my morning run and moved it to this afternoon.
I must have been half dead when I packed my gym bag this morning because I had no workout shorts or pants. Luckily I had sweat pants to pull on (a pair that I usually bring to wear home in the freezing temps). So I dressed as well as I could and just lifted for about 40 minutes. Needless to say, I was pissed and disappointed I didn't get my run in.
Tomorrow is going to be better. I am going to head to bed here feeling relaxed and calm in hopes of a nice nights sleep... and get to the pool tomorrow morning for a nice LONG swim!

you'll get in your groove once you get this swim in! -- sorry about the sleep, I tend to have that on Sunday nights in general, last night was even worse after all the time off.
oooooh! Love the new look! have a great swim tomorrow! don't worry too much about the missed workout... get a good night sleep, tomorrow will be better.
Pants? You don't need pants. Pants just get in the way of EVERYTHING!
Good luck with the swim!
You just need to get back into the routine of things, it was totally hard sleeping last night after staying up late and waking up late!
Nice way to improvise today. I'm sure you'll get back into the routine once you get your swim in tomorrow. Good luck!
Hey - at least you didn't have to call it off all together!
At least you lifted! If I had opened my bag and saw that I forgot my pants, I probably would have turned around and gone home. Ha.
Enjoy your swim!
I hate it when I forget something. At least you were still able to get a workout in. Hope the swim went well.
At least you had those sweat pants so it wasn't a completely wasted trip to the gym! You got something in and that's always a positive!
Hope you got the much needed sleep!
It's always a shock to the system when getting back into routine after the holidays. Give er a couple days ;-)
If it's any consolation, I haven't slept well either. Tossing and turning like crazy, and I usually sleep like a log. The holidays and breaking your routines will definitely do that.
Getting into a routine is half the battle. You'll get it in. :)
Besides...pants are overrated.
Hope you got a good nights sleep last nigh. Way to work out and make the most of it.
Cheese & crackers happens whne getting back into the swin of things. At least you did not scrap any activity more than i can say for me.
