Dear self,
I don't know what it is I am doing wrong, but in every attempt to lose weight even if it is only a pound a week.... I have failed. This past week I rode almost 25 miles on the bike, swam 600M, and ran almost 16 miles. I have ate healthy and watched my portions. I have limited my intake of sweets. I have stopped eating 2 hours before going to bed and made sure I have consumed a healthy breakfast each and every morning. What else am I to do? Hmmm?
Totally upset,
Teacherwoman
P.S. I am sure it won't help that I am making a "heavy" german dinner tonight for friends...will it?
Moment of Truth Monday:
Last monday's weight: 150.8
Today's weight: 149.6
Today's Workout:
900M Swim

I know you don't want to hear this, but it could take up to 6 weeks before you see all this exercise pay off. Ya know, the old muscle weighs more than fat stuff! Tell us about how your clothes don't fit any more in the mean time :-)
You may not want to hear this but losing a pound IS a big deal! You should be happy about that...the rest will happen in time.... How bout counting calories? Remember that place where you enter you height and weight and all and it tells you if yo want to lose a certain amount then you have to consume no more the X amount of calories? I'd try that...
You are doing FINE!! Keep up the working out and all!
I feel your pain!! I was shocked to do Monday weigh in today and see that I am basically in the same place...wha the?
These things take time. Don't give up!! Even if the weight isn't coming off right away you are still doing yourself a lot of good. Your heart, and your lungs thank you. Keep up the good work!!
hang in there.. give it some time
Doy. You lost a pound! That is good and healthy. Don't be down on yourself :) I think it takes our bodies time to realize that we're trying to lose weight.
www.fitday.com is an easy way to count calories (you can even put in your workouts).
Ahhh... sweetie. You lost a lb and that it a LOSS. I know it sucks, cause I feel the same way you do. You'll get there, I am sure! Keep positive and it will happen. (I should take my own advice).
First off, you lost a whole pound!!! WOOOOHOOOO.
It's slow and frustrating (trust me, I know!!), but you're moving in the right direction. Keep at it!!!
Maybe it means you don't need to lose any weight.
I'm with you on the frustration. I have gone down a whopping .4 pounds from last week to this week having run 30 miles, biked a bit, strength trained for an hour and a half and eaten within reasonable limits each day...I think I have to cut out even more and workout harder!!
The weight is not important. How do your pants fit? How do you feel? That's more important.
Hang in there girl! And I agree with Jess, maybe you don't need to lose weight. I would love to have your body!
Hang in there, losing a little at a time is the healthy way to do it. OR, Jess is right and you're at the perfect weight and we're all jealous:)
