This morning when I woke up... 17 degrees.
This afternoon.... 24 degrees.
Currently... 19 degrees.
Tomorrow morning when I am supposedly running this 5k Turkey Trot.... expected 15 degrees.
Definitely going to be colder than last year's race....
How tempting it would be to sleep-in and wake to the wonderful smells of a warm Thanksgiving...
But I don't think that is an option... this may very well be my last race of 2007.... I am gonna do it... and I am gonna do it with a smile...
Why?
Because I can!

Good luck and stay warm.
Whoa!! That is coooollddd!! What are you going to wear in that cold? Brrrr!!! Good luck and have fun!
dress warm and enjoy the race! Happy Thanksgiving to you
it's getting cold here, too. flew home this weekend to a few inches of snow.
i'm doing an at-home turkey trot. from the fridge to the couch - multiple loops, though. i'm going for a record. :)
Last winter I found two very positive things about running in freezing temperatures:
1- if you have a crappy run, you've got a built in excuse. Really, in those temps all that matters is that you got out there and ran!
2- on the way home from a freezing cold run it is very important for your body that you stop by Panera (or Starbucks, etc) and have some hot chocolate and a bagel. YUM!
I wish I had gotten up for my 4 miler I had intended on doing...it wasn't even cold...but I overindulged in alcohol the night before...
