Monday Bullets

  • If you missed it, I posted YOUR questions and MY answers last Friday. Even though it took me a while to answer your questions and hyperlink to those who asked the questions, it was tons of fun! Check the post out HERE.
  • I enjoyed a 4 day weekend at home, again. It was nice to relax at home and get to see the family. In addition, it was my Grandpa's 84th birthday so we celebrated with lunch yesterday.
  • This past weekend I wasn't so lucky with following my workout schedule. It's not that I didn't try, because I did, but odds were against me. Friday I was able to get in a nice long ride - 27 miles. Saturday I had a run 1 mi/bike 30 min/run 1 mi and when I got to the gym shortly after 9 I was disappointed to see every treadmill and bike taken. By the time I got on the treadmill, I just decided to stay on and got in about 3.6 miles. Sunday I had intentions of doing my 4.5 mile run, but realized when I got to the gym I forgot my running shoes. Instead, I biked a half hour in my KSwiss shoes.. I guess I was in a time crunch anyway.
  • UND Fighting Sioux beat the Minnesota Gophers 4-1 last night! We will be going to the Frozen 5 this weekend in Minneapolis and are done! Wahoo!
  • Today should be a national holiday...the day following Selection Sunday! Anyone agree? I haven't had much time to see what the breakdown looks like, but I am excited to fill out my bracket! Unfortunately UNC didn't make it into the tournament - but I haven't really enjoyed watching them this year... it's been ugly.
  • This afternoon, I plan on running my 4.5 miles from yesterday. These miles will be dedicated to onelittletrigirl. She is paying it forward and putting 1 nickel for every mile a person will run and dedicate to her while she is on the injured list! If you feel like doing the same, head over to her blog, Finishing Is Winning, and let her know!

Happy Monday, y'all! I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Awesome that you had such a nice (LONG!) weekend at home. Sounds like you made a good effort with your workouts... sometimes "stuff" just gets in the way.

I don't pay attention to selections, but I think every Monday should be a world-wide holiday. :)

I am wanting a bike so badly for my birthday and reading about your rides makes me want one more! :)

Loved all of your Q&A by the way. I might steal that idea for myself.

Sounds like a great long weekend! I need to figure out my bracket. MD got a nice #4 seed but in the hardest bracket. I'm a little nervous for us. And I want to know who Duke paid off to get the draw they got.

Thanks for the shout-out!

I ranted about the Duke thing in my post today. As always...they got off easy. I am crossing my fingers that Nova kills em.

My money is on Kansas, but I took some serious risks into my final four. I have won three years in a row, so that says something right?!?!

UNC will be back next year...on top where they belong- one bad year, it happens!

Sounds like a great weekend!

Frozen 5 and the beginning of March Madness? I think the entire second half of March should be considered a national holiday :)
