Yesterday, the plan for my afternoon workout went as follows: run, BodyPump, run , and then head home to do my TriPower routine.
I had enough time before BodyPump to run a mile, and for some reason had enough gas in me to run 2.1 miles after BodyPump. It's probably been 2 weeks since I was last at BP and after all that squating, I didn't think I would have anything left in me for running, but I did.
When I got home, I proceeded to dive into my Monday TriPower routine. I haven't been following this much at all for the past 9 months (gasp) and miss it dearly. Today's workout took me about 20-30 minutes (and I can do it all while watching tv!) and consisted of: upper, mid/lower, hip/lower body stretches, about 5 core workout routines, and then foam rolling. Ahhh. It was perfect!
Then, this morning, swim team started up again after a week break. The break was definitely needed, but I was ready to get back into the pool. I finished 2000Yds later and felt like I could have done another 1000. I was feeling strong and happy! However, my legs and glutes are starting to feel sore... it's definitely a good sore, though!
On my way to work I decided to treat myself to Starbucks. Actually, I had a $5 giftcard from a co-worker and to top things off, they were giving out a free baked good! I walked out with one amazing coffee drink and a blueberry scone! I do love my Caribou Coffee, but I can't get over the wonderful service (politeness, mostly) at Starbucks!
I hope the rest of the day goes just as well! Have a great day!

Comparing Coffees
First and foremost, check out Amanda's blog and her wonderful Goodie Bag Giveaway! The contest closes APRIL 5th, and then she is giving away more after that! She ROCKS!
So far my April "challenge" is off to a good start. I just want to quickly answer or clarify a couple things first.....
Oh how I love thee coffee!
I always knew that the coffee drink I order from Caribou Coffee, the Caramel High Rise, isn't the healthiest. I mean, really, can something so good be so good for you! Probably Not.
I also like the Caramel Lattes, but not as much as my Caramel High Rise. So I was looking at their website a bit more and compared the two drinks in the chart below.
Just another reminder to myself why I need to cut back. And maybe just stick mostly with my coffee at home....French Vanilla by Dunkin' Donuts with fat free creamer.
Do you drink coffee? What kind do you like? Black? Lattes? Frozen drinks?

- I am not giving up coffee completely. It keeps me sane with the industry I work in, okay?!
- I am mostly giving up beer and soda (empty calories), sorry Stephen, and incorporating more healthy choices.
- The big focus is eating right, getting enough sleep, and lots of water. Smart training should fall into place when those things are in check.
