30 Days of Thanks (Day 15)

Day Fifteen: Unexpected Hellos

I am thankful for those unexpected hellos from students that I do not work with on a regular basis. One morning, a student that I worked with during summer school and ND state assessment this fall, showed up at my classroom door just before the start of first block. I was going to question him on why he was in my room, thinking that he was just wasting time in the halls but before I could, he said he was just stopping by to say hello. As much as I want to think he was confused and in the wrong place at the wrong time, I would like to believe that he was just stopping by to say hello and ask me how my day was going. What a sweetheart!

That is really nice. It is a nice suprise to get a visit just because and not because they want something. I love these posts.

I love it when students surprise you with things like that. It lets me know that they realize I am human and reminds me they are human, too.
