30 Days of Thanks (Day 20)

Day Twenty: Taking a Graduate class with a friend

Up until this semester, J was a semester a head of me and we were taking different classes, but both working towards our Autism Credential. This semester has been by far our favorite class and being able to take the class together has been wonderful. We have been able to bounce ideas and questions off each other, in addition to our other classmates. Today, I realized how truly thankful I am that we are taking this class together. We spent three hours working on a Special Needs assessment/budget assignment, discussing many different factors when it comes to SSI and adults with disabilities working and living a normal life to the best of their ability. It is a very big assignment and challenging as well. It was so nice to be able to work together, arguing our points, seeing eye to eye, and walking away from it with a new understanding of the difficulties an adult with special needs may encounter in order to function as an adult in our society. Big eye opener, for sure!

Just getting all caught up - busy, busy week for me!
Love reading all your thankful posts! I think music is def something that gets me through my days. And I'm jealous your in school right now. I would give anything to go back! Already got my MBA, and can't justify adding to the college debt! LOL!
Have a good weekend!
