Three Things Thursday

  1. Kids are sick ... then I am sick. Not usually, but right now 9 out of 10 of my kids are coughing and snot-nosed and spreading it everywhere. I would have never thought that I would be teaching 5th graders the proper etiquette to blowing their nose. Now I am fighting some sort of cold or allergies.
  2. The sump pump in my house is music to my ears. Well, not really. I find myself keep track of the time between runs, and it seems like it is running every 40 minutes now. At least I know it's keeping the water out of my basement.
  3. I look forward to a weekend of college hoops and college hockey. March Madness games begin today ... I only filled out 5 brackets for 5 different "bets". Today kicks off the WCHA Final 5 as well. My alma mater, UND, plays Minnesota Duluth tonight and then Denver (gasp) tomorrow night. It should be a nice relaxing weekend, right!?

I know tons of people are ready for March Madness. I don't have a clue which teams are playing - how sad is that? Hi, my name is Shannon and I'm clueless.

Hope you can stay healthy!

I don't follow March Madness AT ALL, but go team(s)! :)

"The Frozen Four" is a much better moniker than "The Final Four"

Sickness has invaded our house with my kids! We had a classroom here the other day that had 9 out of 23 kids left in class because of all the sickness.

Wow, five brackets. You're hard core! Good luck with the sickness, just know your immune system is getting stronger and stronger.

Sorry you're sick. When I taught I was always getting sick. The worst is when a student would sneeze and snot would go everywhere...gross!

My husband is so excited about March madness. I like watching the games b/c that's what basketball should be about...heart and determination! It should be fun!

Good luck avoiding all those germs! (That sounds way more sarcastic than I intended it).
And I hope you have a nice relaxing weekend watching basketball!

I remember one class of 7th graders with 60% sick for 2 weeks in 2002.

You just reminded me.

I remember last year (or the year before, can't remember), my parents' sump pump was turning back on after about a minute off each time. It was pretty crazy!

If I didn't have to work tonight, I don't think I'd leave my recliner all weekend. March Madness, the WCHA Frozen Five. Glorious!

I know you're having a fabulous weekend!

Even with the college kids, when one gets sick, they all do...you'd think by college they'd know...
