It's definitely coming

I thought I would post the picture above... just for my home-girl, Marcy. That was taken about a week ago, in the AM as I was going through the drive through at my fav coffee shop. It was definitely prettier in person when you had the 360 view of the sky and all it's colors!

Winter is definitely just around the corner. Mrs. Alberta Clipper is supposed to be dropping off a present for us all... possibly 1-2 inches of accumulated precipation that is a 4-letter-word. Leaving behind windy weather and slippery roads. ... And wind chill below ZERO!?!?! Dang....it is inevitable. There is nothing I can do. Blech. All I want to do is curl up with a book and a hot Tom and Jerry...

With all said, it was tough to get my mindset back in training mode. And while we're on the talk of "training"... where was it that I said I was doing this tri-thingy for sure? I am trying to train, and then will decide after the Christmas break if this is something that I want to do. I don't want to through $50 into this if I am not "feelin" it. I would rather put the money towards a Danskin Race later on in the year. Which reminds me... they have finally posted the dates of all the Danskin races... any one out there planning on doing one?? Or does anyone have an idea as to which one would be awesome to participate in????

Today's workout:
3 mile run
abs

I am curious where the Southern California one is. I might look into that. I can get to the San Diego area in 5-6 hours. I would love to do a Danskin tri sometime!

I can't even talk about that cold!!

OK, that is a seriously cold forecast! Yikes! I think I'd be staying inside, too. That is NOT fun!

Good luck training and deciding what race to do.

OK, I'm done complaining about our temps here in Michigan. I'm sorry, I can't help you with the Danskin thing. All I can say is keep on pushing through your training. I know it's hard when it gets cold, but I know you can do it!!

Brrr, but I'm looking forward to the cold weather, hot chocolate and all. When it gets all warmed up, you'll be in tri mode again.

I wish I had a bike for doing a tri...the Danskin would be nice since it's all women...I might be convinced to do it though.

I did the Chicagoland (Pleasant Prairie, WI) Danskin in July! It was my first tri & first event of any sort. It was a WONDERFUL experience. If interested, you can read about my experiences at the event here and here .

I will be doing Chicagoland once again since I live less than a hour from where the tri is held.

That's freakin' cold! Wow.

I'd love to do one of those, but we have enough stuff to travel to next year for races. They do have a Florida one? hmmm.....
