For the past week, I haven't been really looking forward to this weekend's triathlon. However, that changed today. I snapped out of this weird funk shortly after I completed my brick workout. Combine that with pulling out items to pack for the race, particularly my Zoot Tri racesuit (similar to this one), and I am a happy girl and ready for Saturday!
Only 3 more days!
This will be my first outdoor triathlon of 2010. I haven't done the Average Joe Triathlon before, so everything will be new to me. The race starts at 830am and since we are not staying in Perham the night before, we have to drive an hour and 20 minutes or so that morning. We plan to be on the road by 430am, hoping for no later than 445am, and ready for registration at 630am! If we have a little extra time, which I am sure we will, I am sure we will check out the race course.
Positive side of getting up at the butt-crack-of-dawn? Watching the sun rise!
Average Joe Triathlon - Perham, MN
Swim - 1/3 mile
Bike - 12 miles (however it was noted 14 miles in a different source)
Run - 3.8 miles (don't know why this isn't just a 5K, but will find out soon enough!)
I know there are some of you who are racing this weekend as well, so I want to wish you a safe and happy race!
