Short and busy week recap #1

I know for a fact, that I get more accomplished the more busy I am. This is present in every facet of my life: work, grad school, training, family, etc. I should learn to cherish these busy times, rather then fret over whether or not I will be able to get it all done because usually, I get it all done. And then some (sometimes).

However, that wasn't the case this week. Even though I was able to get most of my workouts in, I missed some....

Here's what I wanted to accomplish this past week:
1 BodyPump Class - check!
3 runs with 1 5-6 miles - 2 runs, with one 5.5 miler
1 bike - check! - 12.05 miles
2 swims - 1 swim
1 hour of yoga - nada
3-4 tripower routines - 2 tripower routines

I skipped my second swim practice of the week because I was exhausted. I had worked out 5 days in a row and was wiped! Then I ended up taking 3 rest days (thurs/fri/sat) without planning for it. Friday, we were without power for a bit at home because of a huge snow storm. I didn't have time Saturday due to back to back wedding showers and complete busy-ness! grrr... Life happens, right?

This week should be a little better. Here's the plan:
3 runs - with one 6 miler
2 bikes - one long, one short
2 swims - approx. 4000M
1 hour of yoga
3-4 tripower routines
1 BodyPump Class

Happy Monday, y'all!

I also find that I usually work better and accomplish more under a time crunch, but sometimes there are simply not enough hours! You still had a great week!

Hopefully things are not so crazy this week.

You are the woman! I think it helps to write out what you do for the week because then you realize, "Hey, I really did do a lot this week!"

I definitely accomplish more when the pressure is on and my schedule is tight. Great job fitting it all in and good luck with this weeks workouts!

I don't necessarily work better in a time crunch, but I do work best when I have some sort of established rythym or routine.

Best of luck fitting in all the workouts this week!

Still, you were able to get in some good workouts. Hopefully you will be able to get all your workouts in this week.

I think it was a good call to nix your second swim workout...you had a packed week, and it sounds like your body needed it!

Glad to hear others have crazy days with back to back wedding showers haha, sometimes I feel like the only one.

I definitely hear you though, the busier I am the more I accomplish because when I have time I am like MUST get things done!

I love how you have week goals and then publish what you actually ended up doing. It's such a great way to try and get things in! I am going to shoot for that, I think I used to!! Happy Monday dear!!

Keep up the good work! It's OK to miss a workout or alter your plans a little every now and then when life gets in the way.

I'm like that too, are most organized people who like to get things done. However, every once in awhile we bonk and I think that's OK too. You cram more into a week than many do in a month!
