Final Update on 3 Changes Challenge

I want to give a big thanks to Amanda on putting together the 3 Changes Challenge! It's nice to have some sort of challenge from time to time. When's the next one, Amanda?! lol.

Here's my recap of the final week:

1. No Soda/More Water - It feel so good to have cut back on the soda! My body is thanking me for it! I have cut back on a bit of water in the past week thinking that drinking to much was flushing out my electrolytes, but I don't think that was the case at all. The cramps didn't go away, and I have been getting side stitches like crazy on my past few runs. More water is needed, I know.

2. No treats at work - Still working hard on this. This past week was better than any of the other 3 weeks. Such a good feeling too!

3. 20 minutes of Core and Stretching 4-5 times per week - I did some sort of core and stretching 4 days this past week!

1:00-1:45 plank (4 times)
1:00 - 1:30 rocking plank (4 times)
1:00-1:45 side planks (2 time)
255 side crunches - with 8# ball
50 regular crunches - with Bosu Ball
115 reverse crunches
95 pushups
Here's some totals for the past 30 days:
* I have turned down approximately 80% of the treats at work. Keeping track this month made me realize how many unhealthy things are floating around the school and sometimes shoved in your face. Why do people have a hard time respecting one's decision to turn down a caramel roll, donut, cupcake, ice cream treat, etc.?!
* I haven't had soda in for 15 days ... and there are no cravings!
* Other:
1,140 side crunches - with 8# ball
380 pushups
245 reverse crunches
145 regular crunches
110 crunches - with Bosu Ball
50 side crunches (scissors)
If you participated in the 3 Changes Challenge, how did you do the past 30 days?!

I have the same issues with people leaving candy on my desk - its like they're baffled if you dont want it. So, I put in in my drawer - out of sight, out of mind!

Great job!

I also loved Amanda's challenge! I didn't report often, but I was more aware of my vitamins & water especially.

You did great! Way to go on all that ab work and giving up soda!

Keep on keepin' on! The no treats at work is tough. I put a banana on my desk right in front of me to remind myself that is my snack - not something from a machine.

Sounds like you did awesome during your challenge! Did the Nuun help yesterday? I've never tried it before...is that the stuff you mix in with water?

All that core work is causing sympathy pains in MY abs :-)

Great job- I always struggle with turning down treats while I'm at work. it's so tempting!

That is great! I hardly ever have soda so I dont get the cravings too often either. But sometimes I just want a little! I like those half cans they have because they are just the right amount!

Congrats on the soda! I knew you'd be able to do it! Don't turn back : )
As for the turning down snacks, I just tell them I don't like whatever they are offering haha. Most of the time that isn't even a lie. I don't get why people always feel the need to make others eat the same snacks they are eating - maybe it makes them feel better about eating it?

I'd say you were a challenge success! Awesome job! Too bad you haven't found the solution for the cramps yet though. Yuck.

I've never understood why people at work get upset if you don't have a treat - doesn't make sense. Great job with the soda - keep it up!

I have a basket of chocolates right next to my desk. I just can't help it. :(

Man...I don't feel like there is nearly as many treats at my work...or like anyone cares if I have something or not. I'm sorry you have to deal with that! So annoying.
But good work with your changes. Yay on the soda one especially, I am not a soda drinker but it can be hard to give up!

Wow! Great, great, great job! I'm especially impressed about your giving up sodas (like so many other folks). This is one thing that I find really hard to get away from 100%. I'll go a few days, and then invariably fall off the wagon and get a Pepsi or Dew.

Maybe I should think about one of these 3 change challenge things...

Wow, great job! I think I need some of that will power! :-)

Awesome job on the three changes! Avoiding sweets at work is so hard. My supervisor is an amazing baker and brings in goodies fairly often. I almost never say no!
