Just one of those weeks...

This week started out fine. With an additional day off on Monday, due to the blizzard, I felt ready and rearing to get back into the short week prior to Christmas break. I felt that I was pretty much caught up on paperwork. This was supposed to be an easy week of fun activities because we all know how motivated kids are 4 days prior to a 17 day Christmas break...

It's amazing how fast that good feeling can go south.

Meetings, meetings, paperwork, talking to doctors, parents, evaluations, sitting down with teachers individually, paperwork, alternate assessment, IEP's, ... How does it pile up so fast? I feel like a chicken with my head cut off. Honestly.

Add Christmas shopping, another holiday party, trying to wrap gifts, and somewhat organize my house to prepare to host Christmas this weekend with my parents, sisters and brother-in-law.... and it starts to get overwhelming. How are you supposed to enjoy the holiday season when everything feels so rush rush rush?!

Sometimes, I just wish there were more hours in the day. Period.

2 more days.

Hopefully my next post will be a bit more positive.... I am still working on putting together my goals and ideas for 2009... stay tuned.

I'm starting to feel the rush, rush, rush too. I've got a list going for the weekend so we don't forget anything at all. Crazy!

In a few days, you'll be all smiles and ready to have a great, enjoyable time with your family!

It won't be long and you will be in the middle of celebrations and all this prep work will be worth it. Hang in there and enjoy the ride.

I know Julie will agree with the made rush for teachers the week before Christmas break. You're almost there.

The holiday preparation and end of term stuff can really wear you down, but I promise, in a few days, all that stress will melt away, and then you can just relax on break!

I hope the week panned out for you. It sure does pile up fast. We added an additional 3 days to our break due to snow in our area. Of course that just means will have to make it up.
